Well Done America

Hear that hissing sound.  That is the air being let out of our country.   Tonight the destiny of nation was well defined.  It was defined by    people who want something for nothing, by women who want to kill babies, by the uninformed  motivated by negative statements from a do nothing president, by responding to a campaign of hate and division and a country that so far in debt it will never recover under this person’s helm.  The people who returned this man to office have no idea of the tragedy that have perpetrated on our nation.  If you listen you can hear them cheering in the background.  As we progress through the next four years, those cheers will change to moans.

Perhaps this returning elected official will be want the country needs.  Not that he will provide any direction or guidance as a good leader would, but on the contrary he will so spoil this nation as to make even the staunchest liberals seek an alternative.  At this time in history a majority of our population is composed of a hard left, left leaning and left of moderate constituency.   With that model, the country looks more like a European country than the one established by our Founders.

At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in the year 1787, Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history professor at The University of Edinborough) had this to say about “The Fall of The Athenian Republic” some 2,000 years prior.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy,(which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

To compound matters our country had the privilege of having currency accepted throughout the world.  It allowed us to survive a bit longer with mountains of debt and prevented us from having to face reality that this debt would be unsustainable.   We had this luxury because initially our country worked around the model given to us by our Founders.  Liberal SCOTUS enabled our constitution to be perverted and bent to the whims of our elected officials, all in the name of giving away the farm.

I do not think our country has the back bone or the courage required to return it the greatness it once held.  I fear that this election clearly displays the sentiment of the population and thereby negating any chance they possess the will to put our country back on the track from which it has been derailed.  The populace will continue to stand with outstretched hands waiting for their bribes until a dictator takes it all away.

I truly pray that I am wrong, but I cannot see the citizenry becoming concerned with the situation or bearing any responsibility to want to affect change.  Without that we are truly lost.  Professor Tyler appears to have been correct and it only took us about 250 years.   Well done America.
